Before switching on repeatedly press f9 while doing this switch on and then a boot menu should come up. Choose the 3rd option restore factory settings and go through the steps as guided.

Hi - I have an Asus Eee PC and when i turn it on, the screen is black, the lights are on and its fully charged but nothing else happens...

The issue might be corrupted display drivers, I recommend you to boot the laptop in safe mode by using F8 key and if you are able to get into safe mode, update your display drivers and update BIOS.

Hi - I have an Asus Eee netbook and when i turn it on the screen is black the lights are on and its fully charged but nothing else happnes

sounds like WIN32 trojan. you can swap out memory card (RAM) and if it boots up then that's your problem. Only solution I found is once your system is up (if the memory swap worked) is to copy any vital files to external HDD/USB then reinstall the Operating System.

once you enter safe mode, click on start->settings->control panel->system and then device manager
and under display adaptors, disable your display card and then restart it again and see if it works

What is your operating system if it is XP then press the F8 key repeatedly when you switch the machine on.

This should put you into safe mode

If you can achieve that then go to Start,Programs, Accessories System Tools, System Restore and try to restore it back a week or so.

Blue Screen is a memory crash so it could also be a problem with the Ram or a conflict
