Hm, it could be a guarantee shut. In some laptops manufacturers do that. If possible, you must see what part is blocking. When you see only some bitter plastic junk, you may destroy it. But be carefull, you must be some kind of certain.
It could be the power cable or the DC jack itself. DC jack requires a re solder to the same main board. This repair can get expensive being you must take out the whole main board. Jack itself cost about 7-15 dollars and is easy to do if your comfortable with soldering.
i delt with them directly because i found out that i still had a warranty so i sent it in to them and they made the repairs that was needed and upgraded it for me now i am very happy i hope this is very helpful for u best regards mike
You will have to disassemble the laptop a bit to swap hard drives. Check this link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dnhoshor/sets/72157602004333279/show/ it shows a photo disassembly that was made to repair the power jack bu you will see the hard drive in image # 10 hope this helps
It could be your Power Supply or your CMOS Battery is dead. For Power Supply, you can test by try to connect your Power Cord without battery to see for any PowerPush. If it is still not on then you can check your CMOS Battery for any failure by test the good one from other similar laptop since you had two. I hope this help.
