Use dvd + rw disks ....... They don't need any initializing or finalizing.

Bit more expensive than write only (r) disks, but they can be wiped and used over and over again since they are re-writable.

Worked for me, hope it works for you too. :o)

Best wishes.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Intial dvd player 1731 says no disc when there is one in it. It turns on but does no show the disc. No sound! I would lke to order parts.

The laser assembly is the problem, overtime the laser lens become weaker, or the pladder motor that the dvd sits on becomes defective. The only possible solution is clean the laser lens with a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol and allow several minutes to dry. If this fails it is not cost effective to repair, much cheaper to replace.

I just got a RH387H in Hong Kong, region 3, but the above method doesn't work, this model has slightly different icon, no "lock" icon, I tried in other similar location but no effect, hopefully someone will provide a method.

Cannot finalize dvd-r

Have solved the finalized problem by simply looking on the Canon website and read that you have to plug the camera into the wall to do it! If only they simply put this in the manual!!! Goodluck!
