MCG8000AWW Neptune Drying Center initially has heat, then not

MCG8000AWW Neptune Drying Center initially has heat, then no heat after a few minutes (maybe five or less). I have already disconnected the vent and verified that the problem is before there. Any most-likely suspects in the component area? Pointers to any Neptune Drying Center tear-down instructions? I googled with mixed results - this site being one - ha ha. Any input greatly appreciated. Have a great day!

I have lost all heat in my mcg8000aww. The first thing I did was to clean out the vent. Then, I found a huge amount of lint build up down the front chute of the lint screen holder. You cannot get to that until you remove the front of the machine. I have the one with the upper dryer cabinet, so for me, the front removal required removal of the control panel (4 screws) then removal of four front screws (previously hidden, then disconnect the door wires and then the front lays open, remove the plastic lint box and there was a huge pile of lint. But, once done, that did not solve the heat. I am moving on to the "coil" but have not yet figured it out. Any help?

Maytag neptune drying center has no power mcg8000aww

Could be a bad thermal fuse, a bad drum belt, a door switch a loose wire , one of the computer boards or the user interphase. Time to call a qualified technician. This machine is a complex machine to disassemble and diagnose and if reassembled wrong could prove to be dangerous to operate.

Im trying to gain access to the drying center by maytag, mdl mcg8000aww. i am having trouble getting in to check the components

This not a solution, just a statement that the only way in seems to be via the front with removing everything! There is a link in here to a Service manual that shows (poorly) different stages of a tear down. http://www.applianceaid.com/pdf/16022785.pdf I think my washer not spinning out the clothes properyly has cause what every it is to break. Lots of good info on how to test the ignitor, but how to get it out is another matter. Did you have to call a tech?

Maytag MCG8000AWW gas dryer no heat

The ignitor may be bad you can chek to see if there is 110volts when the dryer is allin by unplugging the wire to the ignitor and putting using a multimeter to chek for voltage at the wires. If there is power to the ignitor and the ignitor is not glowing up then the ignitor is probably bad replace the ignitor.

Maytag Neptune Drying Center MCE8000AYW

Email me a response to robert_fawbush@yahoo.com and I will be more than happy to provide you with parts breakdown illustrations and possible part numbers and locations to replace. The service amount verses the do-it yourself amount will be well worth the savings. Typical labor cost on appliances are 75.00 per hour and a mark up on the parts. If you feel you can do it yourself after getting the photos e-mailed to you, it will save you approx 200.00 if not a lil less or a lil more.

Please rate this solution "fix-ya" if it seems to satisfy your question.
