Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
This started last night, my battery indicator flashes 4 times red and then green, when i check it says charging but never gets charged. but when pluged to power it can comeon but once disconected it turns off. also when i check in the bios it shows me battery really charged. also when i press the test button (3sec), it flashes 4 seprated lights and then all comes on the fifth time... pls help me
The red or amber flashing lights indicate a bad battery. The Dell battery warranty is only for one year and the D600 has been out for a number of years. You should replace the battery. You can use the laptop as it is as long as it is connected to AC power.
There are several places to buy replacement batteries. One is www.bixcomputers.com. If you do a search on the web you should be able to find other sources.
Good luck and I hope this helps, even if it isn't good news.
