I've switched over to OSX and can't seem to print my pdfs. The print center says the jobs are stopped. If I start jobs it starts processing then stops again.
I'm printing to a HP Deskjet 1200C that is connected to a print hub.
If I switch to my apple laserwriter the jobs print.
Any clues?
Marvin

Might be a silly question, but are you printing from Acrobat (and what version?) or from Preview?
Assuming you are trying to print from Acrobat 5.05 or 6, what happens if you try to print the PDF from Preview (apple's application)?
If you print to the printer directly and not through a print hub does it work?
Do other documents from other programs print to the 1200c without problems?

Check and see but I think that the HP1200 is at most a PS2 device. It might not be even Adobe PS but an HP emulator.

It looks like a lot of these printers or the driver could not handle latest options of postscript. A message to this effect would be more usefull than "Document can't be printed".

You should try contacting HP customer support. I had similar problems with my HP printer (not necessarily Acrobat files). They sent me a new printer driver that worked. The printer driver was not available anywhere on the HP website. Good luck

I had the same problem on my Laserjet 4100 DTN. In the print dialog box, scroll down to Acrobat. Check "Print as Image." It's a slow workaround, but it seems to get the job done until you can fix the problem permanently.
I eventually had to call HP and they sent me out a new DIM chip to install. I don't understand what it did, exctly, but it fixed the problem. I think it had something to do with memory. Have you tried contacting HP about the problem?

screw it up.
I may have the same or a similar question.
I can't print from my Mac G4 with OS X 10.2.6
to my HP Laserjet 1220 series. I am using Adobe
5.0 and I get the message:
"The document can't be printed" ????
