Re: performance motherboard for Intel Quad Core Q66
Asus makethe majority of the board in the world. Intel makes most of the chips sets and CPUs, which you alread have. Which model depends upon what features you want(What you are intending to do). Get the board with the most PCIe16 slots and tie them all together in addition to the one having the highest amount or Ram availableto run,and the fastest Front Side Buss speed. That should take care of you. I had built one with the Q6600 and used an MSI board with
two 8800 video cards and 8GB RAM

You can visit alot of websites and webshops that can tell you more about motherboards and support with Intel Quad Core Processors. Just ask them if it is supported, most new motherboards will if they are made for Intel.
Well that is kind of a far off question. Do you want to know the best processor on the market or the best processor for your motherboard?
The best one I would say for your motherboard (LGA775) would be Intel Core 2 Quad or Intel Core 2 Extreme (The extreme is just an unlocked and overclocked Core 2 Quad)
The best Processor on the market however would be on the LGA 1366 and LGA 1155 Sockets as teh Intel Core I7.
hello, since intel celeron cant work on the motherboard that means its not the processor for the board. look at the previous processor on the motherboard and check the name. only the processor with the right maker for the board can work on it. i suggest you try intel pentium.
The processor is too weak - get at least an i5, best would be a quad core i7; the hard drive will be filled faster than you thing - bigger is always better; get some faster memories - at least 1666 MHz, 4 GB is bare minimum, get a 64bit OS and 8 GB for real performance; the power source is at the limit - for best result get one of 600W; as for the video card the best for photoshop is Nvidia Quadro CX, even ATI Fire will be better than any gaming card.
