Have a Polaroid TDA-03211C tv with dvd player. Won't play DVDs

Built in DVD player used about 4 times now won't play DVDs. Sounds like disc not catching or turning

DVD player eats the DVD and won't spit it out. I've removed the DVD player from the TV (only two small screws hold it in the TV) and openned the players cover. Then I turn the pulleys on the small elec motor inside the unit and the DVD slowly comes out. After reinstalling it back in the TV, it worked fine a couple of tries. Then when I left the DVD in the slot and turned the TV on later, it ate it again. There must be a adjustment on the DVD player to prevent this.

We have had the same problem, Polaroid replaced the DVD player two times, the second time finally worked. It's been about a year now and it's starting to screw up again. If that isn't enough, when we try to watch broadcast tv, the picture freezes up, I guess like the signal scrambles or something. Looks like little squares and the picture gets all distorted and the sound stops. I don't know what the heck it's doing or why but it's very frustrating to try to watch anything. Any one have any helpful advice besides blowing it up? (o:

As long as you know a disc is not stuck inside I recommend taking it to your local svc center to be looked at.

How to play dvd

If you are using the built-in DVD tray, press TV (in case you have a Cable Set-top box). Then press Input and navigate with the up/down keys to the line labeled DVD. Then press OK. Finally press play on the Polaroid TDA-03211C remote or on the side of the TV. The remote play button is in the center of the row below the row with skip reverse and skip forward buttons.

If you are using a different DVD player, press the input button and then the up/down arrows to get to the input for your DVD player. Then press the DVD button to control the DVD player.

If you are using a universal remote control, then you may need to program it to the TV and the DVD player separately. (Some universal remotes may only support the TV functions of this TV.) Make sure that your universal remote has an input button that works. You may need to try multiple codes for Polaroid TVs.

I hope this helps.

(note: the DVD must be correctly installed so that the printed side (label) is facing the front of the TV. If you do not get a response, try the disc in another DVD player. The DVD player laser tracking can fail without warning. If the disc plays in other units, this may be the problem.)

My toshiba BDXK100 won't play DVDs other than Blu-Ray

There may be a issue with the assembly, blu-ray plays with more precision and speed, for some reason it is not slowing down to play the regular DVD's may be a padder motor problem.

Cant get movie to come on.it says to hit play button.cant find any such button.picture comes on but that is it

The Polaroid TDA-03211C has the Play/Pause and Stop/Eject buttons on the TV on the side of the TV near the DVD slot. They are separate from the other control buttons. (They are closer to the back of the TV relative to the DVD slot with the stop button the lower of the two. The play button is just below the media card slot behind the DVD slot.) The original remote also a Play button (center two rows above the channel and volume toggle buttons).

The manual for the TDA-03211C is available as a PDF from HDTV solutions: http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/pdf/tda03211c_ug_en.pdf . See page 12 (page 14 of the pdf) for the controls on the TV and page 14 (page 16 of the pdf) for pictures of the remote.

I hope this helps.

My built in dvd player is not recognising my dvd!

If it is a real DVD, try other DVD's to see if they are working. If none of them work, try to see if you can get a warranty replacement on that TV because it's broken. If you are using a burned DVD, there is a good chance that that player won't read many burned DVD types. If you are trying to play a file that you burne onto a DVD and it isn't an actual DVD disc but movie files stored on a DVD then your player isn't playing the fie because it does not have the required codecs to play the file. DVD players that have DivX codecs usually solve this problem. And for 30 bucks at walmart, can't beat it...!

Hi. Hope you can help with a DVD problem we have with our Polaroid TDA-03211C television: After I insert a DVD, I hear two clicks and then the message "No Disk" appears on the screen. The DVD player is not...

We had the same problem. Call Polaroid and they will send you a replacement dvd player. It was a malfunction on their part. It seems the DVD player gets too hot and then it doesn't work anymore.

When I put a DVD in, it stays on loading for a few minutes and then it says -no disc. I can not use the DVD player. It is a 32" HD Widescreen LCD TV/DVD Combo...TDA-03211C. Thanks.

With the dvd loaders in these particular units the laser tends to fault in them relatively fast. Replace the laser loader assembly, which is the entire assembly containing the laser, the mechanism where the disc slides in and out as well as the small motor that spins the disc. Good Luck.

I have a 32" HD widescreen LCD TV/DVD combo. TDA03211c. When I put a dvd in to play it makes a noise and puts some digital garbage on the screen. Will not play dvds.

Sounds like the DVD player is defective. Just food for thought.. Try not invest in any make with a built in DVD player, they just don't last.
