DVD playback On the JVC KW-NX7ooo Do I need to have the handbrake wire connected to veiw DVD playback

My ipod jack used to work, I unplugged ipod then plugged it back in. Now it shows on the screen that the ipod is connected and playing, but now sound comes out. This is only on ipod, everything else works fine

press the display button, until the desired screen comes on, and make sure handbrake wire is earthed.

Hi, in the menu check that the output is set correctly for dvd playback. ie not through the preout for an amp. It is possible for the unit to be set up to play surround sound for dvd's. Worth a try?

Does the suggestion by djBass work with the avx800 too?
