Question about Hoover U6630-900 WindTunnel Bagless Upright Vacuum
My adjustment knob which is connected to the idler arm for CARPET-HARD FLOOR came off. Now the idler arm is disconnected. How do you remove the hood assembly to reconnect the idler arm and thus the adj. knob?
Remove the bottom plate (4 screws), remove belts and brush roller. There may be 1 small screw in the center front of the vac under the brush roller. remove this one. If this is a bagless model you will also need to remove all of the back screws (torx) that hold the lower hose on. This needs to be removed to take the hood off. underneath on each side of the power drive assembly you will have 1 screw, remove them. there is a clip on each side that snaps the front on, push them out with a screwdriver. Then the hood is removed.
