I just got a used envy from my cousin..it was working just fine when i got it...now everytime i try to charge it it won't charge!! Is it my battery? Is it my phone? Even when i push down on it it wont work...
I had the same problem. Basically, you need to remove the batter from the back and you'll see these golded prongs on your phone. Something's wrong with one of them. If you can see something wrong with them, try to fix it with tweezers. If you can't see anything wrong, or if you can't fix it yourself, take it to a Verizon store.

try your sisters battery on your mobile. if it powers up and your charger isnt working on your mobile then you have an internal loop fault in the power section of the mobile that directs power to charge the battery. its a big fault and is far cheaper to replace the phone than to have it repaired.
if the battery has got wet then it can be damaged usually there is a white dot on or near the battery if it is red its damaged or the battery has lost it power to hold a charge from normal use a new battery would solve the problem hope this was helpful:)
If you have only had this phone for 6 months, it should still be under warranty. Also, if you have the insurance plan for the phone from your phone company, they should honor the policy and assist you or replace it for free. My first stop would be at the place that you purchased it from. Even if they wind up charging you a small fee, it will be much less than buying a new one. I hope that this helps.
There is no way to fix this yourself unless you are handy with a soldering iron. The power jack that you plug the cord into has come loose off of the phone's mainboard. The only way to fix this (assuming you don't know how to use a soldering iron) is to take it to a phone dealer for repair.
Will it charge in the car from a car charger and did they test it at the store before they gave you a new one. I heard that they have had problems with the new ones having a defect with the chargers. That they had the wrong homechargers in the boxes.
Although today's electrinics are nicer to look at than things were 5 years ago, they're also more fragile. You must treat things like egg shells if you want them to last. I've had the same cell phone for 4 years, mi wife has been through 7.
same thing happened with my friend, its a minor bug in the env, call 18009220204 (customer service) and tell them your problem, they should be more than happy to help you. they gave her a brand new phone free of charge. hope this helpeddddd;)
Hey i think i just figured out the problem to all the port charging issues for the envy and envy 2 phones with verizon. its not the phones, its the charger cord! the part that goes into the phone. it gets pulled out over time from pulling the cord out of the phone all the time. get a pair of pliers. grab the end and push the metal end of the cord against somthing hard, push it back in so it is at the appropriate depth. this should make it charge properly again!
