When i empty the water reservoir on my Zanussi tc 7102 tumble dryer the dryer leaks water onto the floor, there is a spring and a plastic part that becomes loose when you take the reservoir out of the machine. Any ideas how to fix it please?
I had a similar problem. There is a 'o' ring on the plastic part that keeps coming out. This 'o' ring is not big enough, you need to replace it with a thicker one, preferably one made from a harder material.

I have just fixed this as below - your leak may be easier to see if you turn the machine on its front - there is a rear valve with a rubber bung and underneath a rubber pipe with a metal clip - check both for leaks - http://www.fixya.com/support/t4079509-full_water_indicator_lit_continuously
I had this problem. If you look at the valve on the plastic water tank,
you will see that those parts are the same. They fit inside the tumble
dryer to shut off the water from flowing onto the floor when the water
tank is removed. The white hollow cylinders in the tumble dryer and the
water tank push each other open. If you study the water valve on the
tank you will see how it is put together. It is all held in place by a
little 9mm O ring at the back of the valve. The ring gets tired after a
while and pops off. The valve then falls apart and you find the
cylinder and spring on the floor and the O ring still inside the dryer.
I bought an O ring kit and reassembled the valve inside the dryer using
a new ring. You will have to pull the dryer out, turn it upside down
and remove the floor to do this
look for a restricted vent . and a cold floor or room . this would cause condensation and would leak from inside / causing leakage on floor in or around the dryer .. hope this helps . pls leave feed back .. mm
There are three water reservoirs - one at the bottom behind the condenser, a second at the back bottom of the machine and then a third at the top which is the one you would normally pull out to empty.
There is a hole at the bottom of the filter in the first reservoir (at the back of the condenser) which leads to the second reservoir at the back. If the hole gets clogged up with lint/muck then the reservoir at the back does not fill up.
So to solve this, unplug the machine, take out the condenser (front left bottom of the machine) reach through to the back and mop up the spare water with a towel and check that the hole to the back reservoir - you can feel this it is towards the right side at the back of the machine is clear from muck.
Once you have cleared it, water will flow to the second reservoir and then (once you switch on the machine) up to the main removeable reservoir at the top.
I also have this problem and is leaking all over my floor underneath...i've only had it a day. the condenser is soppin wet and no water in the tank..i'm dead angry...anyone else have an idea how to fix this mother F*****...thanks...clair
