Check the game settings requirements. You might have to switch your display resolutions in order to get the games to work correctly.

It's supposed to automatically switch but since it goes blank and searches for frequency that indicated a video related problem.

Be sure that your graphics card are compatible with your computer. Most household computers are Dell Dimension 2400's or other items in the Dell Dimension 2000 line. Also make sure that the graphics card is compatible with your operating system. Try Ati Radeon there are a very popular brand that work with almost any computer. A good low-end graphics card is the Ait VisionTek card.

Hi there

I think it may be a graphics problem. May be the XP drivers are not compatible with your machine graphics card.
You could try this to solve it ...

From the web, possibly on another PC that's got the internet, download the graphics driver for your machine and save it to a USB disk.

Once the set up is complete, try booting into safe mode (press F8 on boot, then select boot into Safe Mode)

Now try running the driver from the USB disk (or copy it to C: drive first then run it).

You can purchase a copy of XP and install it, but it may void your warranty with the manufacturer. You can also try running programs in Vista using XP compatibility mode (right click on the program and select properties and then select the compatibility tab). There is also a great site for tuning Vista performance www.vistax64.com

I have bought & installed mahjong game, when i try to play it, it shuts my laptop down

Hi,
i think its not providing the enough memory to run the game. No problem... Try changing the display settings of your laptop. Change settings like screen resolution and color quality. make sure that is that game is compatible with Xp / 98 / Vista whatever. Thank you.

Game comes on. You can hear it but you can't see it

Reinstall the game the resolution for the game maybe out of range for the monitor, this will set the resolution back to defualt. does the monitor say "out of range or out of frequency" when the screen goes blank? if so it is the monitor being incompatible with the current resolution setting. if you changed monitors recently this may be why. Otherwise it is not compatible with your existing graphics card

MONITOR GOES BLANK

Did you recently change or install a program that would affect the resolution and card output? Try booting into safe mode by holding the "shift" key during boot. From there right-click on the desktop and hit 'properties'-> 'display properties' -> 'settings' , check your resolution and drop it to 800x600 and then reboot. If everything goes back in normally make sure you have the right windows drivers for your video card. You can also check the driver version and settings while you're in safe mode. Sometimes the windows update drivers can act screwy and I would recommend getting them directly from your card manufacturer.
