Question about Brother MFC 6800 All-In-One Laser Printer
I have a brother MFC 6800 all-in-one machine, and it has started leaving about 1/4 of the page (vertically) blank when it prints. I cleaned the bars on the top of the unit, but I think it's in the ones behind the toner and don't know how to get to them or even if i should. I need this thing to work. I am a realtor and am constantly faxing printing, etc. Any suggestions?
Vertical print problems are going to mean a drum replacement on that model. You can try to pull out the drum unit and carefully, with a lint free cloth, try spinning the drum and cleaning it off, but more than likely the coating on the drum has worn off where the vertical defect is. New part # dr-250 for that machine model..
