A blank black box appears midscreen

If you press any button on the remote or tv the "box" disappears but always recurs in a few seconds. Otherwise everything works perfectly.

Black box appears on tv screen then disappears. sometimes the box has letters in it. it last for a few seconds then it goes away

That sounds like a text box. Press the cc button and keep pressing it. You will see different closed captions options on your screen each time you press the button. Finally when it says cc off stop pressing the button and you should no longer get the black box. If you have a cable box connected you may also have to disable the captioning on it.

Black box appears in TV screen

The problem with the black box happened to me. I had pushed the subtitle button on my remote by mistake. Interestingly enough, as soon as I pushed the SUBTITLE key again, on the remote, the black boxes disappeared.

It also says CC which means closed captioned-- So the bottom on my remote is Subtitle, and then on the subtitle button is cc...

I hope this helps

Black box on screen

On your remote should be a button called TV caption or text. Turn off the closed caption as someone hit it and turned it on by accident. If its not on your remote, then it is in the menu. Good Luck Ps Please dont forget to rate this thread.
