is very simple u have active the close caption mode on ur remote control , this happen sometimes , on ur remote control look for a botton that it said cc or caption or cc mode press this botton till it said on the screen on ur tv cc off or u would see c1 , c2 but u whanto have the one that it said off and that would fix this black box on ur screen
That sounds like a text box. Press the cc button and keep pressing it. You will see different closed captions options on your screen each time you press the button. Finally when it says cc off stop pressing the button and you should no longer get the black box. If you have a cable box connected you may also have to disable the captioning on it.
The problem with the black box happened to me. I had pushed the subtitle button on my remote by mistake. Interestingly enough, as soon as I pushed the SUBTITLE key again, on the remote, the black boxes disappeared.
It also says CC which means closed captioned-- So the bottom on my remote is Subtitle, and then on the subtitle button is cc...
using your remote ,off the close caption. the black rectangular box that you see for the message but since you have message in the box. that why you see a rectangular black screen.
On the reomte control (bottom) left of the sleep button is a cc button, push that until "OFF" appears on the screen. The close caption box should disappear. It worked for me, finally.
On your remote should be a button called TV caption or text. Turn off the closed caption as someone hit it and turned it on by accident. If its not on your remote, then it is in the menu. Good Luck
