My Epson Perfection 2400 scanner doesn't scan the full area of slides, it crops a bit from top & bottom and both sides, even with auto cropping switched off. Tech support told me this problem will be fixed when the next version of their software is released. Is there a way around this problem?
Perhaps you could borrow a better scanner with a feeder?...

I could define the area for each slide but when I did it took so long I gave up. I have 7000 slides to scan and it was taking a long time even on auto.
Thanks Mike

Couldn't you switch to "professional mode" and define what area to scan yourself? That's what I do on 3200, and I am fairly sure it must be similar. Also, you can probably find more answers in the rec.photo.digital newsgroup...
