Canon G9 blinking green indicator light

Canon G9 camera.  After taking a picture, the upper green indicator light blinks for a long time.  The battery is new and fully charged.   If a number of shots are taken the camera freezes up. This did not happen when camera was new.

Go to this site and try emailing them: www.camerasandparts.com They just service the Canon Powershot cameras and they are wonderful for help with these. They do excellent work and are about half the price of Canon. Hope that helps, best of luck with the problem.

Here are a few things you can try:
Check to make sure that your memory card is a fast card. Slow cards take longer to store images, especially if you are taking a bunch in rapid succession.
Check to make sure your photo quality settings are not at the max. The higher quality the photo, the fewer the number of images you camera can take in a row before needing to process (store) them.
Hope this helps!

Green light blinking while charging

On both my Canon camcorders the blinking green light just indicates the camera is successfully charging the battery. If it doesn't go off the battery may be bad.

Orange light flashes on when turn on Olympus c-50 zoom camera and orange and green lights in upper left corner blink when try to take pictures. Won't take any pictures

The flashing Orange light means the charge is flashing.
The flashing Green light means the focus and exposure are not correct.

Have you recently replaced the batteries? Or are you using rechargeable batteries? Lack of enough "Juice" could allow for the flash to not charge up (Orange) therefore not allowing the camera to get the correct exposure (Green). I would try new fresh batteries or a new battery pack. If that doesn't fix the issue it must be a bad circuitry in the body that is shorting not letting the flash charge.

Jacob

Canon G9 digital camera

There are two stages to the shutter release. The first stage is the focus stage pressed half way down and the second stage is the actual shutter release. Always press the shutter half way to get the camera focused first then press all the way down when the camera is ready to take the shot. Check to see how the settings are with regard to how it focuses (9-point, face recognition, etc). When the camera focuses you should get a green box or multiple green boxes depending on your settings. That tells you the camera is ready to take the picture. Pressing the shutter all the way down at once from the beginning will cause the pause you describe since the camera has to first focus then shoot the picture. Depending on the subject or subjects the camera may take a second or two longer to focus. With good lighting my G9 focuses pretty fast. Hope this helped.

My minolta sightseen camera wont take pictures?

The blinking zero would indicate that the film has not loaded but the cartridge is in place. The camera won't do anything when this occurs. Try opening the film door and load the roll again
