My guess is that your fuel lines are cracked or have a hole in them somewhere. try installing new lines and let me know how it works.

I was using my o17 saw today it was runing Just fine I shut it off when I went to start it again it fired on choke seting after that I could not get it to do anything what is wrong with it

All 2-strokes love to run rich when cold thus full choke till it kicks, half choke to start and leave on for 5 seconds high rev's to warm & lubricate, then no choke to run. Restart when hot is 1 pull full choke (you are now flooded) & then no choke til it starts. Try it. Works every time on all of my 2-stroke engines.

Chainsaw will not stay runing

hello sir,, now there are two types of carb.adjustment screw covers, the old one where there are plastic over the screws, simple remove the plastic covers with a pair of needle nose pliers or cutting off,,,second are the new ones that are above the adjustment screws, which you have to take your drummel tool with the cutting blade and cut slots in the screws, after you get this done it is important to count the number of rotations in until stops make note how many. because you are going to reset the same way.now remove the screws, put to the side when you get ready to put screws in put in all the way than back out as many turns that you noted, now that is factory set there should only be a small adjustment to do. the rule of thumb is turn both out 1 1/4 turn and adjust in until saw runs smooth and idles ok, it is hard to adjust the top speed when saw is running wide open, let saw idle when adjusting top speed is easier that way, when you go to cut wood you may have to readjust top speed, the above does apply some what if you are not using fresh gas mix and dumped out the old fuel and starting with fresh, and a new plug CJ8Y,and as you know the saw has to breath in and out by this i mean a clean air filter, make sure the small screen on the muffler is not cloged, this will keep saw from running at peak speed and sawing wood, ok i have ran across a few saws to where the small screen in the muffler is cloged so the saw would idle but not run at high rpm's,if you do and check all of the above your saw should run,oh btw check compression should be above 60 to 160 lbs, hope this helps, any comments welcome, thank you. ~~

Saw stops runing when it gets hot after cool down start an run fine to it gets hot again

Couple of possibilitys here, when it starts to die slacken off the fuel filler cap, if it then picks up again it is a blocked fuel tank breather, the other possibility is the ignition unit breaking down when hot, the only answer here is to replace the unit.

I have homelite UT10560 chain saw. The problem I have is it will start and run when cold. But if the saw shuts off it is very hard to start again. What is the trick to start when saw has been runing...

Make sure you have control set on run,not choke or start. Check spark aresstor by removing exhaust cover and cleaning screen of carbon and oil build up with spray carburater cleaner and fine wire brush. Also remove gas cap and make sure that vent hole in cap is open.Otherwise it can draw a vacumn after being ran for awile and be very hard to start. One last thing is make sure that spark plug gap is correct and that there are no hairline cracks in porcelin insulation. Best of luck. Thank you.

I have stihl chain saw it runes full throttle

After you let off of the throttle it dies instantly or just kind of quits slowly ?
It could be :
- 1 ) Your clutch is hanging up and not allowing the engine to idle while the chain is not moving.
- 2 ) You need to set the idle higher. You will need to remove the air cleaner, and find the small idle adjustment screw, and turn the screw clockwise, until it idles.
Please let me know.

My name is billy .Went to use my Husqvarna saw yester day . It will cranke but it axe like it is runing out of gas.

Try fresh gas - check gas and air filters - fuel line may be restricted. Carburetor usually the last thing to go bad,, unless you mess with settings.
