I am connecting belkin54g to laptop and am getting an excellent signal but message appearing "type passphrase or password for belkin54g". Is it a standard passphrase or one that initial owner of belkin would know?

I had to reset my router because I forgot my security key. Now the wireless isn't working. The light is off and I can't connect to it with my laptops. What happened and how can I fix it?

Hi,

It is possible that since your reset your router that the settings is more likely to be reset as well then you will have to connect using an ethernet cable direcly from the lptop to your router to turn on the wireless capability of your Belkin router.

You will need to get your router's Default gateway to get in the router and turne the wireless capability on it. Most probobly the IP address of your Belking would be 192.168.2.1 type this in IE on the address bar then press enter this should lead you into the router "Belkin" make sure that your are connected using ethernet from the laptop to your Belking router to be able to do this.

I have a Belkin g sireless router and model no f5d7234-4v1, but i dont have user manual, so i have problem i can't puting user password that's why so many people are using my belking modem so pls help me...

connect any one of the computers to the router with a ethernet cable. open internet explorer, clear out the address bar on the top, and type 192.168.2.1. when u hit enter, u'll get a router set up utility. in this page u'll have an option -security- below "wireless". when u click security, it'll ask for a password, leave it blank and hit submit. on the next window, choose the option WPA/WP2, then u'll have some more options, look for PASSWORD(PSK).. put in a password which should be 8 to 63 characters long, its case sensitive. click on apply changes.

Want to find the password currently set up in a BelkinG wireless

On the back of the router there is a black button. Hold this for 10-30 seconds, it will remove the password. I recommend after completing that step, you log into the router via a browser and give it a password tho, to keep little demons from leeching your internet >:D

Can i retrieve my password for my belking router through my comp?

its a long shot. but you can try, go to your network connections, under wireless adapters, there should be a tab for connections if you see a box for a password and theres an option to unmask the password, then you should be able to get the password..otherwise you need to login to the routerpage and manually change the PW for wireless...

Hope it helps!

We've just moved house and have aquired to belking routers a belkin wireless pre n and a belkin ADSL G Plus MIMO I want to use the latter as a bridge how can I?

You need to access the setup page of your Belking router and go to the wireless setup, look fro Use as Access Point, now just a reminder this will defeat the NAT IP sharing feature of the router. Configure the IP address of the router to the same subnet as the network your tying to bridge here's the more detailed procedure:

1. Enable the AP mode by selecting "Enable" in the Use Access Point only page. When you select this option you can now change the IP Settings.

2. Set your IP settings to match your network. Click "Apply Changes"

3. Connect a cable from the LAN port of the router to your existing network.
