Hi,

you need to go to:- My computer/control panel/display
you should be then into the display settings panel. at the top of the panel, select settings. and you should set:- colour quality Highest 32 Bit ( or whatever the highest is )
Then Screen resolution ( bottom left ) should now be 800-600 to 1024x768 or similar.
Whichever is best for your monitor.

if you can,t acheive this. you need to re-install any drivers for your graphics card or onboard vga.

Thankyou for using Fixya.

My Acer E5 522G is detecting my TV, but there is no picture on the screen. The HDMI cable is fine as I can use it on my V5 I have here. How do I get it fixed?

The tv that your acer is detecting but showing no picture might have an unsupported screen resolution. Your acer might be able to handle a tv with *1280 x 1460 resolution but not one with a *1800 x 2200 screen resolution (* just random numbers for an example) hope this helps

  1. Hold down the Menu and Menu up/scroll (+) buttons simultaneously on the Apple Remote for 6 seconds.
  2. TV will cycle through all of the available resolutions, displaying each for about 15 seconds. Please wait, as it may take up to 2 minutes before a compatible resolution is found. If the display is incorrect or doesn't show up, keep waiting while TV continues to try and find a compatible resolution.
  3. When a picture appears on the screen, navigate to OK with the remote and press the Select/Play/Pause button.
If you think you selected the wrong resolution, repeat these steps again. TV works much better in HD resolutions such as 720p or 1080i. You should choose the 'best' resolution your TV supports.
If HDMI or DVI connections are available on your TV, you can use them instead of component video to avoid this process

It does not turn on.

The tech was right and it is the powersupply.
There is a small sm diode goes bad on the bottom side of the board.
I think it supposed to be around measuring 5V instead it measures like 1 to 2V.

Acer AT2001 cannot use as monitor

I currently own an Acer AT2001 21 inch Television/Monitor. The refresh rate on your computer should be set to 60Hertz. You can change this setting by right clicking the desktop, click properties, click settings, click advanced, click adapter, click list all modes, click 800by600 at 60Hertz. The screen resolution will not go above 800by600. Note; Initialize these settings with an old crt monitor and then plug in the Acer.
