HP no longer provides support for drivers for this printer. The newer Windows OS will support the printer natively, but sometimes it requires a little finesse from the user. Here is a link to an HP forum where folks tell how they worked out the communications issue for the print and scanning functions. Hope this helps! adding hp psc 2410 printer to windows 7
A full feature software and driver package for Windows Vista is not available for your product. However, the Windows Vista operating system installed on your computer contains a basic driver solution for your product.
Here is a link to install the printer drivers to your computer:
Vista requires a plug-n-play software, that can be downloaded from HP's website. Go to HP.com, support, enter model number and choose operating system (Vista). The page will allow you to download, free, the plug and play software.
* Note: Vista sometimes allows you to just plug the printer in and it automatically installs the plug n play (without software). You can try this also.
You download to the internet for the driver with the window vista compatible installer.. Just type HP psc 1210 driver download then click search. Select and click the website that have an available program for that printer.
I have the same PSC 2410 and contacted HP the print software is included in Leopard 10.5 but the scan is not. They have "no" plans on producing software and went as far as to recommend third party scanner software to make it work.
