Question about Belkin (F5D5231-4) Router

1 Answer

Unable to connect to my wireless profile

I have the Belkin Wireless G Router and up to a couple of days ago I was able to connect to the wireless network. Then my roommate got her computer fixed (which entailed wiping her harddrive) and so when she went to use our wireless she had to type in the PIN number found on the router. As soon as she got connected I got kicked off. Everytime I click on the profile and says "Uable to Connect". I am still able to connect to the internet by using other profiles (from neighboors) but they're very weak so can't really be used. I am also able to connect to the internet if I plug in my ethernet cord into the router. I've tried renewing the IP Address and also have deleted the profile and then clicked on it again. It then asks for the "password" which I type in, but it still won't connect. I don't know why I was kicked off, but if someone could help get back onto the network I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Unable to access router wirelessly

try to reset it (there's a small button on the back you have to push with a pin)

then connect to the router (the ip is the same as the gateway when typing ipconfig in the command prompt of your computer, as soon as you have connected to it) to change ssid's, weps and other important stuff

Belkin wireless router not assigning IPs for wireless clients

Some routers start handing out DHCP wireless IP's at 192.168.2.100. Try setting the upper limit at .110. If the router is found in a site survey (view wireless networks) but cannot connect, the limitation would be why.

I believe you need to call the netgear support again and ask if you can talk to their department with replacement concerns. Because if the online replacement order didn't work, your only option is to call their customer support number for manual process of replacement.

Hope that helps.
