Battery won't recharge on my sandisk clip anymore

How do I get my sandisk to recharge? I plugged it into the computer as I always do and this time the 'Conneted' bar doesn't show that it is recharging. There is no charge left in my unit at all. Do I have to get a new lithium battery?
