I have almost same problem. I was able to play PS3 on lcd 52 screen HDMI, but when change back to regular it is not recognizing the ps3 at all.

Tried different tv, cables etc and wont work, but if I go back to HDMI LCD tv it will work.

Do any body have solution for this or suggestion.

I already tried the basic including resetting the vedio out put by pressing the power button,

Can you explain your problem with a little more detail?

Have you already tried a manual video reset?

Are you using A / V cables?

    While the PS3 is OFF

Hold down the power button until you hear the second beep, quickly release the button.

It will reset the video back to default.

Let me know if this works.

Just hooked up an fiber optical cable(digital optical) for my bose surround cinimate2 sound to my ps3 to the bose reciever, Now i get good sound, but when i play a dvd it skips and pauses, is it the ps3?...

Most likely the default format of the video that you are playing is not supported buy your receiver. You may try to go into the audio setup and switch it to another format and/or try a disk that supports other audio formats to see if you still have the problem. They any are always coming out with newer versions of dolby and dts. So some times the new version is not fully compatible with the older receivers.

Let me know i you have any more problems or questions

How do i connect a ps3 to a surround sound and tv

with a normal 3 color chord.

tear the white and red ends away from the yellow one and hook the yellow one into the T.V., and the red and white ones into their correct spots in the surround sound system.

PS3 surround sound

You will need the optical cable. My receiver only passes video through the hdmi. So I hooked up the HDMI cable to the tv, and the optical cable to the receiver. Once that is done you have to go to the audio settings for the PS3 and chose audio through the optical.

sounds like you are going to have to get the component cables for the PS3, you can get them on amazon, the only thing about the component cables is that the quality cant go as high as the HDMI cable but its close. but thats the only way i can tell you to have surround sound with your PS3

Video is black and white

Are you using the same SCART socket that you use for your other consoles or a different one? My SCART3 input on my Panasonic telly has two different modes - one which displays in colour, and one which displays in a sort of grainy black n' white. There is a purpose to it but I can't remember what it is. :-)

Anyway, you switch between the two by pushing the AV button and then hitting the colour button which corresponds to SCART3 a few times 'til you reach the correct setting.

It probably isn't that, but... y'know. Sanity check.

Tune your tele and check you've got it on the right PAL/NTSC setting.

Tv sound & surround sound

Go to Settings/SoundSettings/AudioOutputSettings/AudioInputConnector or DigitalOut depending on type of input you are using for surround.
