Question about Insignia 37" LCD Flat-Panel HDTV
We got an insignia 37'' plat panel lcd t.v. from best buy less than a year ago. All of a sudden in the middle of watching television it will cut off and go to black screen (like being turned off, ) and turn right back on, (saying please wait)..it's like it is being turned on and right back off by itself...(possessed?)..I have no idea why it is doing this...any suggestions? any ideas will be greatly appreciated as we did not buy it extended warranty and can not afford a new one! thanks!
Have similar problem. But mine just tries to turn itself on, flashes a blue light and then goes off and starts over. Unplugged and left for about 10 minutes. Plugged back in and starts all over. My tv is less than a year old, I got it after the Stimulous check last year. My manual says it has a 1 year warranty and to take it back to the seller (Best Buy). May be only option if no one else has another idea.

I sincerely hope you purchased the extended warranty. I know many people who have had the exact problem 1 month or so out of warranty. The TV will not last longer than 1 year. I suggest that you have the TV replaced. Insignia has terrible customer service and it is frustrating to deal with them, but I suggest you call and make a complaint about their product. At least this way, maybe they'll consider recalling their televisions.

Since the TV is less then a year old and still under manufacturers warranty, I would suggest to take back to the vendor to get it fix because this LCD behavior is not going to get any better.
The failure on this TV is related to a power supply in most cases if the TV is turning OFF by itself or needs to be unplug to let cooldown and it works afterward.

This unit is going into protection mode due to some erratic voltages causing the feedback circuit to activate the protection mode. This could be caused by aging components and overheating.You should take this unit in for service by Best Buy if it is still under warranty. If not you must try to have someone test and repair it for repair it for you. Try calling Insignia Customer service and find a service center in you area to take it to for evaluation.The Insignia customer service Number is 1-877-467-4289 The number for Best Buy parts is 1-888-237-8289.Most likely you or a service center will be doing the repair and the numbers above should come in handy. Best Buy also has a parts website, all you have to do is put in the brand name of the television and the model number and its parts finder will list all available parts and their prices. You Can also try MCM parts, they have a website that works the same way for parts and prices. Their telephone number for customer service is : 1-877-626-3532. Hope This helps you with your problem.
