The longer answer begins with a question: why do you need to know, what's happened to make you ask?
Most Dysons have a built in cut-out system that stops the machine if it gets too hot. This usually happens because the filter needs washing or the machine is blocked. If your machine turns off on its own, unplug it and leave it for at least an hour. The cut-out should reset itself when it's cool enough. Remember to check the filter and look for blockages before re-starting. If the cut-out does not reset itself, you may need professional help.

Hi dad this is Stephanie ur daughter in Manteca... My vaccuum isn't sucking and the filters are clean... I broke a glass of water on the carpet and had to vaccuum up the glass and when it got wet I thing it made all the dirt and rampages hair stick together and clog it up... I don't know how to unclog it u should help me or come over lol. Thanx love u
