Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.
If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they should work okay.
Hope this helps. Bud

Just lift upwards the Logitech logo below the clickers of the mice. No more screws to remove or knife to be used, just took off the battery and replace it. Double AA. ^__^

SOURCE: how to change battery in
Where the Logitech logo is, press down on the plastic and pull downwards with a little force, away from the buttons. It requires 1 AA battery for the mouse. Good luck!
