Will trackball model 64215 work on Windows 7?

The last operating system that allows a Kensington Expert Mouse 5.0 Model 64215 to work properly is Windows XP. Kensington refuses to update their MouseWorks software in order to make it compatible with Windows Vista or 7. The mouse WILL work, but only with basic functionality, i.e., no programmable buttons, and the pointer moves crazy slow...

With proper drivers and if it was working with other Windows XP/VIsta, it should work as win 7 is backwards compatible.

Lost driver for my kensington pocket mouse model

Hi mdriskell,

I'm not sure if this will work for you but go to this site: http://us.kensington.com/html/1466.html#mw611 There is a download of "Kensington MouseWorks™ Software Version 6.11" which might be what you need to make your mouse work. If this does not work, I'll see what else I can find for you. According to the site, it does work with Windows Me. Just out of curiosity, why are you still using WinMe?

Good luck,

Kensington slimblade presenter mouse is not syncing to laptop

Get onto the Kengsington Website and download the latest driver if it is newer than yours:

http://us.kensington.com/html/1466.html#trackball_win

I had a look there and it says it is compatible with XP and Vista which makes me think it will only work on 32 bit operating systems. If the latest driver they have doesn't work then have alook through their FAQs, or contact them - it is possible that they haven't developed a 64 bit driver.

remove the usb reciever and download the mouseworks the software

http://ftp.kensington.com/PC/Input/MouseWorks_PC_622.exe

  1. If you have any third-party mouse software already installed on your computer, please uninstall it.

  2. Download the software and save it to your computer's desktop.

  3. Double-click on the file you downloaded to begin the installation process.
For Windows Windows 2000 and Windows XP:
  • Before installing MouseWorks 6.0.1 or higher, make sure you are logged in as "Administrator" of the system.
  • Install all Windows service packs first, After applying the service pack, install Kensington MouseWorks software.
After completing these steps attach the reciever and reboot the system
