Regarding that Error you just mentioned it is either the program you are installing is not compatible with windows or the programs can be just damaged but if it something brand new then most likely it is not a windows Program or application.
You can also tr and check for issue like your Anti Virus program try disabling your Anti Virus for a while then try re installing the program again see if the error will occur again, if the error still occurs then it is the program you are installing that is the issue.
If you think that it is not the issue then you can try to back up all your personal stuff then re install windows and try installing the program on the newly installed windows see if the error will occur if it does then you will have to get a new copy of that program which is Windows Compatible, or possibly that is not damaged.
What Application/program is this that is giving you this Error not a valid win32 application?
and what windows do you run on your Machine is it XP. Vista or windows 7 also is it 32bit or 64bit?.
