Volume icon won't go away - X2Gen MG19MY 19" LCD Monitor

  • JoeAX Mar 18, 2009

    In my case it’s a PC monitor. The volume icon keeps popping up in the middle of my screen at the most inconvenient times. Like now, as am typing this query. An VGA icon sometimes pops up in the upper left hand corner. When I push the menu button on the bottom of right hand side of the mentor the menu control icon sometimes comes on spinning thru the options like a slot machine. Can I fix this or is it time to buy a new monitor?
    Thanks,
    Joe

How do I remove volume icon from the middle of my iPad screen?

You might try this...you can set your side button on upper left corner edge of ipad to either mute volume or lock screen (stop it from rotating). Check how yours is set...Go into settings>general>Use side switch to:
see if it is set on mute. If it is switch it to Lock Rotation. Now that side switch will lock or unlock screen rotation.
See if that might stop your volume icon from popping up. Good luck!

Hi at the bottom of my screen i use to have a volume icon and i could click on it to say how high/low i wanted it but for some reason it has disapered and i got to the control panel to change it and it...

@georgia_9

If the volume icon is just missing, try the following:

For Windows 7
1. Right click on the System Time at the notification area (bottom right hand side) and choose Properties. It will then give you a window for the System Icons, check Volume on the list and click ok and that should fix it.

For Windows Vista
1. Right click on the Taskbar, choose Properties
2. Go to the Notification Area Tab then check Volume then hit Ok.

If the above troubleshooting steps still won't work, try this guide.

Good luck.
