Did Dell install the motherboard or did you or another third party company do the install? Is the motherboard the EXACT replacement of the original? If its not, then the resource cd wont work properly. Clarify the replacement circumstances and post back...

Blue Screen Issues

can nit be the motherboard cause you would not be able to boot at all ...probably it was just a real bad virus that affect something ..try to reinstall it clean...first remove the hdd and see it it boots to bios and if it sees the RAM memory ...and even so ..try to get from somewhere some suitable ram memory and replace teh old one ...just to see how it behaves....in most cases I run into when they blow me out and gave blue screen without explanations it was some issues with the ram memory ...so ...first just borrow some of the same size and frequency and see if it boots up ...it might surprise you in a positive way ...

hi

go to start > run > type cmd.exe then enter to bring command prompt up

then type > cD /D %SystemRoot%
for /f "Tokens=*" %a in ('dir /a /s /b Kbdhid.sys') do @echo %a %~ta

then disconnect and reconnect the keyboard or number pad.

When prompted, use the path to the latest version of Kbdhid.sys

this should work for you

Motherboard

sometimes dell has a program that can check your hardware for errors. check all the disks they sent you. It won't be on the name of the disk but it should be on one of them. good luck.

Hard Driv REplacement

install the hdd first. then install windows cd, then the driver cd. be sure that windows is fully updated once everything is installed. you can then add any software. if you have access to the net before changing the hdd, you may want to visit the dell website and download the latest drivers for everything, motherboard, graphics, etc.
if the 2 blue cd's do not say they are driver cd's, you should get the driver download first. they may be cd's which are referred to as the restore cd's. restore cd's often contain software that is trial or not what you may want, but takes the pc back to "factory settings".

Use MS Systemrestore to restore it to an earlier time or do a complete PC backup. See Dell website below:

Blue error screen when starting up computer

looks like a OS software problem on reboot try pressing F8 and choose last good known configuration
if that fails to do the trick
This option will put your comp back to how it was when you bought is so all you saved stuff will be lost
press contrl and F12 together on boot up this will restart pc as it was when bought new
