- When I play a disk on my DVD player, I get no colour on my TV. TV shows are in colour, the VHS player that is part of the same unit as the DVD player shows videos in colour, but the DVDs come in only clear black and white.Also, when there is a lot of white in the picture, there is that old hissing sound happening. The colour adjustment for the TV shows in bright, full red.
