Fan relay or sequencer.

Nordyne electric furnace. Heats up but fan only comes on in fan on mode. T-stat replaced last year. Is this a sequencer or a bad fan relay?

If it were the sequencer, the heat wouldn't come on at all but the fan would blow. It's the fan relay but it could be the t-stat again. If you get a power surge when the unit is running, it can short out that portion only but typically, it will short out either the heat or the cool side depending on what is running not just the fan.

The heater is running rough. Making noise. Sounds like a clothes dryer. Is usually quiet.

There are very few moving parts in your furnace. The only component that would normally do this is the fan. You can turn on the fan only at the thermostat. Try turning on the "fan only" and listen to the furnace. The belt may need replaced, or the fan motor. You can repair yourself if it is the fan motor or belt. The belt is the same as a fan belt on your car, and it replaces the same.

My jandy heat fan motor will not start motor is new

Electric motors usually need a Run/Start Capacitor. Did you replace that as well? Did you have an electrician test that and the motor. A capacitor is a few bucks compared to a motor.

I have a density riverspas hot tub and it is stuck in sleep mode and there for won't heat up how do I take my density riverspas hot tub out of sleep mode

Difficult to answer without knowing the "Brand" of your Spa Support Pak System. Lets presume you have the most common basic pak available - Balboa.
Press "Temp" button and then immediately press "Light". You will then sequence between 3 modes:
  • Economy - may display as Ec
  • Standard - may display as Std or St
  • Sleep - may display as Sl
Should save last setting

No ignition and E04 Code

The HSI (ignitor) has 2 wires, its like a cigeratte lighter, power is applied and it heats then glows red, the single wire you mention is the flame sensor, used by the control board (igntion module) to ensure the burner has lit or it shuts the power to the gas valve off but keeps the fan operating for a period of 1 hour till it resets.

It sounds like your ignitor is defective, it happens often, depending on your location, you may be able to purchase one, but I would advise having a service tech do it.

The manual for troubleshooting and repair can be found at this link:

Pentair Minimax NT 400 heater. fan keeps coming

Sounds like the controller is the problem. This is the circuit board that has the display and controls on it. You can swing that panel open and try tapping on the white plastic cover the controller is under that. This might get the fan relay to release but you will have to replace the controller it will stick again

I have a nordyne elec furnace just put in a new heat sequencer

You need to check the low voltage side to see if the t-stat is calling for heat. If it is, it is either the sequencer or a fuse to the heating elements (older model). But most likely the squencer. If you have a meter, you can check to see what side of the sequencer is burnt. Could also be a relay depending on the model number. If you get me the model number, I can send you a copy of the wiring diagram for the unit. This is the brand that I deal with.
