The clicking sound is from the ignition, but you do not have gas at the burner, I think it could be thermocouple.

SOURCE: No power on right hand side burners

WHEN THE SURFACE SWITCHES ARE IN A ROW ON THE CONSOLE, THEY ARE USUALLY WIRED IN PARALLEL FOR THE INPUT VOLTAGES(RED AND BLACK WIRES ATTACHED TO EACH OTHER). IF THERE IS A BURN OUT OF ONE OF THE WIRES, IT WILL AFFECT THE OTHER SWITCH INPUTS DOWN THE LINE.
TAKE OFF THE BACK PANEL OF THE CONSOLE AFTER UNPLUGGING IT AND CHECK FOR VISIBLE SIGNS OF WIRES BURNT. REPAIR OR REPLACE IF NEEDED. SOMETIMES, THEY WILL DAMAGE THE TERMINAL OF THE SWITCH THEY ARE ATTACHED TO. IF THIS IS THE CASE, THE SWITCH WILL ALSO HAVE TO BE REPLACED.

SOURCE: frigidaire electric stove keeps beeping

IF IT HAS A MECHANICAL CLOCK, THE START AND STOP TIMES NEED TO BE SET, THE OVEN CONTROL SET TO CLEAN, AND THE SELECTOR SWITCH SET TO CLEAN.
TO CLEAN NOW SET START TIME TO THE TIME ON THE CLOCK AND THE STOP TIME TO 3 HOURS LATER.
LOCK THE DOOR. IT SHOULD START AND THE CLEAN LIGHT SHOULD ILLUMINATE, OR OVEN ON LAMP SHOULD LIGHT.
IF IT STILL DOESN'T WORK, THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CLOCK OR THE CONTROLS OR THE LOCK ASSEMBLY.
A WIRING DIAGRAM WOULD BE BEST FOR DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM.

SOURCE: Oven not heating KitchenAid KERC506HWH3

Hi,
I have a one year and 2 month old KitchenAid KEMC308KSS03 Wall oven/microwave combination.
After a self cleaning cycle the oven would not heat again. Eveything else works fine the microwave, controls, etc.
The problem is the thermal limiter switch that KitchenAid used. It is a one shot thermal limiter that opens if the back of the oven goes above 120degrees C and does not reset when it cools down.
The KitchenAid PN is 9759243 BUT don't replace it with the same part if you have this problem. KitchenAid want $84 for this silly thing and it a piece of junk. Buy a PN 317-1368-ND from DigiKey Inc. 1-800-344-4539. This is a 120 degree C thermal limit switch but it will RESET itself when the oven cools down so if it happens again you won't have to pull the oven. This part cost s $6.60 from DigiKey and is a much better part than the original one from KitchenAid.
The switch is on the back of the lower oven, there is a cover that comes off and you will see it screwed to the back with two wires connected to it with faston terminals. It is an easy permanent fix for this problem.
KitchenAid is ABSOLUTELY NO HELP with this (as ususal).
I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Oven flame too high.

Take a 1/2 inch open end wrench and tighten the orifice on the oven gas valve. Then adjust the air shutter on the venturi tube.

Frigidare gas oven wont ignite

· Gas ovens / stovetop that use gas and not electricity. These work by igniting gas and use actual flame on the the stovetop.
· Newest cook top styles, such as the induction or halogen cook tops combine the same style to produce more even heating. Some of these ovens feature thermal limiters or thermostats that regulate the burner system. GAS OVENS 1)The spark igniter tip is dirty (can clean it with either a little wire brush or a piece of fine sandpaper).

2) The Pilot flame is too low, and the tip of the igniter is not in the flame good enough. (the flame acts as a circuit when it touches the tip & completes the circuit).

3) The spark module is no good and needs to be replaced.(But 1 & 2 are your best bet).
spark module does not sense the flame when it's on. The spark igniter is also the flame sensor which provides feedback to the spark module.

Make sure the igniter is properly aligned with the burner lighting holes and it is clean. All lighting holes must be clean too. You can enlarge them using a drill bit one size bigger.

If it would not fix the problem, replace the bake burner and the igniter.

There is a small chance for the spark module itself to be bad as well.
ELECTRIC OVENS:

CHECK THE OVEN RELAY CONTROL BOARD Aclicking sound could be something wrong with a relay. Check for any loose connections around the main control board on your oven. The click you hear is a relay losing power and switching back on. If the clock resets then something is causing power interruptions to the board.

Oven problem, it tries to ignite, but won't

It sounds like the igniter isn't lighting the flame, or the flame isn't sensing once lit. Check the burner to see if anything has fallen onto the burner or electrodes to prevent it from working. Also check the holes on the burner to see if they are blocked. If it is all clear it may be a control box issue.

I have a Whirlpool Gas Range with Accu-Bake. On one of my burners the igniter comes on but the burner will not light. You can hear the clicking, but no flame. Is there something that I should clean and...

Hello,
In addation to the spark do you hear th egas flowing as well? if you do hear the gas and can light it with a match/bbq lighter but it doesn't light with the spark,it could be cleaned by using a safety pin/paper clip and push through the holes where the flame burns all around the burner(s) also steel wool will clean the burner.

When i turn on oven all i smell is gas i cleaned with a wire brush still nothing. also is the pilot light always have to be on and can you see it when oven is off

Most gas ovens that aren't electronic ignition usually have a pilot light.
Usually one in the oven area and one for each burner. (Sometimes shared between two burners.)
These pilot lights must lit at all times...otherwise it won't light up and you'll smell gas.
Usually the pilot light is in the very back of the oven and can be seen with the broiler drawer opened.

There is a small set screw located at the pilot light assembly in the oven and also at every burner.
This allows you to adjust pilot light up or down, thereby letting you set pilot light flame to a level that doesn't get blown out by a draft...or you can turn it off completely.

If you use that set screw to turn off the pilot light gas, you'd need to strike a match to light the oven or burners everytime you needed them.

The oven will not light -- I can smell gas and there is a loud burst but no flame. The stove burners do work, however.

With the oven door open, watch the vents at the sides of the floor of the chamber for an orange glow a few seconds after you try to turn the oven on. If it doesn't appear and is similar to other later ranges, it means the igniter has failed. If built as others, it will have hot-surface igniters (one down, one up) and the lower one has failed.
To confirm that this does use the common system, air out the oven first then try the broiler. If it works, you have gas available but nothing to ignite it. Also, you should never get even a distinct thump; this could be dangerous and the gas should not flow without lighting for more than a few seconds.

Frididaire gas oven won't light

Does the cooktop burners work? if they do then the problem is either the safety valve or the glow plug (even though it glows). Try tapping the safety valve. If the oven lights up change the glow plug.Otherwise change the safety valve
