First things first after you unpack your home theater system and read the owners manual check see which items cannot have anything placed on top of them to avoid causing damage to heat sensitive components. once you have done this here is a list of items you might need

  1. phillis screwdriver
  2. flat screwdriver
  3. wire strippers
  4. measuring tape, pencil, paper(so you can measure distance from component to speackers and not waste alot of wire;this will save you some money.
  5. remote(s) for sytems to be hooked up to hts.electrical tape or screw caps for elect.
  6. rca hook up wires with trhee wires on it (red, yellow and white-Y-video.R-right audio,W-left audio)
following are optional items
  1. s-video hook up
  2. digital component hook up
once you have setup the speackers where you want them go ahead and measure how much wire will be needed to reach each speaker.once you have this done hook up your rce hook upwres to the back of your t.v. (if not eguipped with rca jacks hooking up a v.c.r. to your set will solve this problem. connect cable into ant.in or cable in coaxil vcr hook up then vce to tv thru your regular coaxil jacks)connect rca hook up wires from tv or vcr rca jacks out to your home theatere system(hts) tv in jacks. then do the same for your vcr and dvd/cd player and tuner if your tuner is seperate from your hts.after doing this connect you r speacker wires to your speackers first( pay attention to the color of the wire inside the plastic sleeve some have one lighter color than the other or they may have a white line on the ouside sleeve running as one continuas line or broken up line from one end to the other) i usually place the one with the marking on it on the positive side of speacker hook upmake sure + is hooked up to + /( -to-)this will help keep distortion down to a minimum and your bass and mids will sound much more rich and your audio enjoyment will be greater.some hts will have a seperate hook up for your subwoofer if this is true on yours than make sure you get some rca jack cable splitters so that you can hook up sound from your components to the subwoofer hook up then hooke up subwoofer to sub out rca (out)side. and adjust your bass, treble and subwoofer settings to your preffarence.enjoy younew hts hope this helps.

Does the Sub have a Low- Level input? This is a RCA type female connector, what you need to do is run a Male RCA cable from your home theatre where it says Sub-OUT and go into the Sub woofer Line in. Unless you only have speaker wire inputs on the back of the Sub then take the Left and Right front into the Sub speaker inputs and then out of the Sub speaker OUTS back to your speakers.

Awia speaker ok for home thaeter

Just about any speaker will work for home theater. As long as it makes sound.

Of course, you will need some type of surround sound processor (like a surround receiver) and other speakers to connect to the front left, center, front right and surround connections.

Some speakers will work better than others.

I will not get into any specifics because there is WAAAAY to much information to get into. Do a little research on home theater systems and how to design, hook up etc.

Hi :) Im technology challenge but follow directions well can you please assist me with connect my bose cinemat ii with a blue ray dvd and my samsung lcd tv?

Hi there,

Well if you are using both SCART connectors, a test you can perform, is to connect the A/V output of the blue ray/dvd player (the audio Red/White - only) to your Home Theater System and see if you can get the picture on the TV and audio through the Home Theater System. If this works, then an alternative is to purchase a simple A/V switch, that you can switch the audio to the Home Theater System when viewing a DVD and then switch back to the TV audio source. Please follow the below link to get a audio switch -

Am setting up a bose GSX 3-2-1 home theater

Need to know the TV connections. On newer TV's there RCA jack connection or ext speaker connections. Usually the external TV speaker connections hook to the woofer and the rest of the speakers are connected to the woofer. The woofer acts as the sound system for the rest of the speakers. With this method you need to mute the internal TV speakers by a swiich on the TV or internal TV setup menus and select ext speakers.

Subwoffer how to connect it to my amp

You have the M-Audio BX8A speaker listed here. Is this what you have? If so, this is a powered speaker and therefor no need for an amplifier. If you want to use it as part of your 5.1 home theater system, it is not possible to power other speakers with this particular speaker, as it does not have the required output connections.
