I have a MacBook Pro (latest edition) and can't sync it with my Data Projector ACER PD523 DLP
Are you connecting with VGA etc cable. It (your Mac) should automatically sync. Also check input on projector, there's usually multiple input options

Select RGB input in the project. If nothing comes out, press Fn and Function key with screen icon in your computer until it display you screen content.

Connecting to laptop
Try changing the refresh rate on your graphics drivers to 60 or 70 hz on both your laptop screen and the projector. Do this at the desired resolutions as well.

PD523 no picture, led blinks
Hy !

Seems to be the colorwheel. When a segment is broken, the unbalanced wheel causes vibrations. Costs approx. 100-150$. Take away back and top so you can see if wheel is not complete.

Getting picture from laptop
Look in online user manual for laptop and check for the shortcuts to press to enable the secondary display.The second responce would require me to know what drivers (for graphics card) are you using and the type of graphics card you have (including manufacturer).

Reset Projector Is it possible to reset the Acer PD520? I keep getting a red blinking light when I turn it on, and no lamp, even though the bulb looks ok. A ventilator was replaced recently, which works fine. so it must be something else. Any info what the blinking lights mean?

why does my Acer PD525 projector shut down after just 10 or 15 minutes from being turned on. The bulb is new (referbished). I thought I had a bad bulb so I replaced it with another one and same thing.

Acer PD523 still videos are kind of dark even I replaced the bulb Something I forgot to mentioned is that the projector is 40 feet away from the canvas. When we started using it in the church all the videos were clear, but after 2 years and with a life of 1100 hours the videos were kind of dark. one of your fellows told me to clean the mirrors which I have already clean. As last solution he told me to replace the bulb which I did, but the problem still, there. to compare we use old videos that worked fine before, but this time they don't look good either. I reset the projector after the bulb was replaced. also played around with colors, light, contrast etc. there is something else to need replace? or I have to remove completely the little plastics inside that covers the mirrors to get a better cleaning position? do I have to use a special cleaning solve? what else can I do? please look to my previous post. http://www.fixya.com/support/t994109-acer_pd523
