I have the exact same problem. When I was in NY last fall, suddenly my camera would only take blurry pictures. I hadn't changed any settings or anything. I can get halfway decent pictures in Auto mode, but any of the other settings only take blurry pictures. Apparently a lot of people have this problem, but no one knows how to solve it...

I am in the same boat. Someone told me that "it's not the camera's fault," however, they didn't tell me what I'm doing wrong so...I have no clue how to fix this.

Please go to Setup menu and select Initialize option to reset camera to default settings that might solve blurry picture problem, if that does not help then its technician job to adjust focus of camera.
Thanks.

VIEW SCREEN IS SO BLURRY I CAN'T TELL WHAT ITS SHOWING.

Is it the viewfinder (that you hold up to your eye) or the screen that's blurry?
If the viewfinder is blurry, there should be a diopter adjustment to fix it, probably right above the rubber eye cup.
If the screen is blurry, you should take some pictures and video and view them on a computer. I they are sharp on the computer but blurry on the camera screen, there may be a problem with the screen and you may need to take it in for repair.
If the pictures are blurry on the computer as well, the camera may not be focusing properly. If you can't focus manually, or the camera can't focus when auto focus is turned on, you have good light, and aren't too close to your subject, then it may need to be serviced.

Pink colored pictures from my digital camera

For this problem try doing the ff:
  • transfer the photos to the computer
  • set the camera in auto mode
  • take a picture
  • if the picture is still pink and blurry even after transferring to your computer
  • call the tech number 18002356325

make sure lens is clean and be sure to use flash indoors, try using a tripod or setting camera on something and see if the results are any better

The screen shows a blurry picture. When I try to

Hello, you could try putting the setting on Macro and that is the little flower
on the bottom along with the other buttons. then you'll have a nice
clear picture, just don't hold it tooo close to the item you are taking
a picture of.

LCD screen is extremely blurred

It is probably not the LCD itself, but an element that is protecting the LCD is bent out of shape.

BLURRY PHOTO'S

This camera has a very fast button to shutter release. But,in eg low light situations or indoors you still need to pre-focus by holding the button down part way,and pan if you can.Use flash ,it is very intelligent on this camera. Dont' forget to choose your focus mode.Like an SLR you can choose whether to have multi, spot or average subject to focus on.If you have a central subject it is more usual to use spot (or multi) metering. Its your choice.Experiment.Don't forget to make sure autofocus is turned on,otherwise you will have to focus all shots manually.
