HP7660 Photosmart Printer

Help! I have been having problems printing good quality photos and I am not sure what I doing wrong, I am thinking its something to do with my ink cartridges! I recently replaced them and now as I am looking at them I am confused! What ink cartridges are supposed to be in this printer? I have a 57 and a 56, 58, 59 ...! The 57 says colour, and the other one is a photo cartridge .. arent I supposed to have a black one!! Is that why my photos arent coming out properly?

Thanks for any help posted!

It comes with HP #57 (C6657 A)—Tri-color print cartridge and HP #56 (C6656A)—Black print cartridge and the 56 must always be in there (the black one) but acceptable replacements for the color one are as follows: HP #58 (C6658A)—Photo print cartridge I suggest for the best photos use 58 and 56.

My hp photosmart c6180 prints green photos on photo paper. it prints fine on regular paper. all my ink cartridges are hp and new. how can i fix this. i have tried several different types of photo paper as...

Check to make sure all of your contacts are clean. The part where the cartridge meets the printer. Also check to make sure you have it set in the printer properties for photo quality paper. If this still doesn't work, I would suggest trying a different brand of paper, it may be the problem with the paper manufacturer.

Your printer software and the program you used to print the photo have settings to turn up the quality of the printer just for photos.
I suspect you just forgot to do that

Vertical and horizontal lines when printing photos - HP Photosmar

Hi,
it sounds as if you may have the picture quality set to draft, its worth a check, especially if printing is ok. Does it print colour writing well too or just black, one of the colour inks may have a block or be low, go into printer settings menu and check what print quality its set for.
