Question about Palm Tungsten E2 Handheld

1 Answer

E2 onscreen keyboard letters frequently (one out of three pushes) will not result in the pushed letter actually showing up as text. More often than not, nothing happens but almost as frequently, a different letter appears as text. Anyone else have this problem? Will Palm fix it free?

When texting how to inter mix letters with numbers?

When you are on the letters virtual keyboard and want to enter a number or a symbol, tap on the box marked '123' or '123Sym'. That brings up the numbers+symbols virtual keyboard. After entering the number(s) or symbol(s), tap on the box marked 'ABC'. That will bring back the letters virtual keyboard.

Is this a laptop, phone, or a pc keyboard?

If it's a PC keyboard you might be able to pop the key out and clean under it. I have went as far to clean PC keyboards in the dishwasher. (low heat, no soap, no high temp dry... and then shake all excess water out... and let dry for a week or two.. before you plug it back up.) But do this at your own risk.

If this is a phone, and it is on a touch screen, then try going into settings and changing from samsung keyboard to default android keyboard.. or vice versa.

Just bought motorola droid - need to know how to enarge letters for text messaging.... having trouble reading the small letters

Try downloading a different keyboard. Currently, I'm using Shapewriter. It's a very cool program where you don't need to tap the keys - just draw your finger from one letter to the next. They keys are larger and brighter than the standard onscreen keyboard.

You can get it at the Market - free download.

Text messaging

push the button until you get the letter you want. For example: you want h, push 4, then push 4 again. The first push gives for g, the second one will give you g. If you want "i" push 4 again. You must pause inbetween the pushes but only for a second.
