Question about Olevia LT32HVM 32 in. LCD Television
I have comcast cable with direct connection to tv's. 2 of 3 tv's get great reception on the local digital stations, e.g. 5.1 but the olevia is choppy and often says no signal. I did all the auto selections both standard and auto. Some guy at Olevia told me I need to connect through a progressive dvd, cable box or tuner converter. This was after asking if I had an extended warranty which I don't. Can anyone explain why this would happen? Thanks

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: TV tuner
Bill, did your tuner go out? I have had the same television for one year. We had a storm and our Buckeye cable went out. All the other tvs came back fine except for the room with the Olevia 232-S12. Everything works now except for the tuner. Cable came in and installed a converter box. Just wondered if you had the same problem (not the storm, but the tuner)

I have the same problem and have heard that if you have a comcast remote that takes 4 digit remote codes, it won't work.
You need a newer comcast remote that accepts 5 digit remote codes.
The easiest way to determine if you have a new or old remote is the color of the Ok/Select button. Newer remotes have a red OK/Select button. Older ones have a gray Ok/Select button. Comcast reps may be able to drop one off.
If not, I've heard Radio Shack carries cheap universal remotes that work w/ both Comcast DVRs and Olevia LCD TVs.
