I was filling a 5gal water jug using the door dispensor on the Frigidaire FRS26ZSH and it stopped filling. Inside the door it states there is a shut-off device after 30-sec continuos flow and to reset release the actuator button which I've done many times in the past. Although this does not reset it anymore. The ice machine works and water gets to the filter so I'm thinking it's either the dual solenoid valve (does not seem to do anything when dispensor activated) or the 30-sec timing device which I think might be called the "Snubber Capacitor" attached to the solenoid wire plug. Any idea if that is what a snubber capacitor does and could it be that or is it the solonoid valve. Also, where do you get the Snubber Capacitor? I see it on the wiring diagram but not on the parts list.
I have a GE 2005 Side by Side Refrigerator. Model GSS25JERF, Serial # FH242429. I get all kinds of Ice but no water. I replaced the water valve (p/n WR57X10050) and the Dispenser Display, 4 button ( p/n WR55x10443) Still no water dispensing from the water valve. What next ?????

have you replace water filter ..... an easy test go to back of refrigerator where waterline goes int fridge and revers wires for icemaker and water dispensor and now use water dispensor it should put water into icemaker that will tell u that the switch to dispensor is working and you have a bad watervalve needs replacesed
If the light and ice dispenser on the front panel works and If your fridge is 4 years old or older, the insulation in the freezer door has most likely deteriorated and the water in the tube feeding the water dispenser has probably frozen. Open the freezer door, put a blanket over the food to keep it from defrosting, and use a blow dryer to defrost the door. Blow the hot air on the flat panel inside the door (the backside of the water dispenser). Close the door about every 5 minutes to check to see if the water works. Once the water begins to flow, you have successfully defrosted the ice in the tube. Defrosting the door works for about 12 hours until it freezes again. To solve this problem, I placed a 10" weedeater line up thorugh the dispenser nozzle leaving about 1/8 of an inch sticking out. When the line freezes again, pull out the weedeater line, dispense water to free the ice, and then reinsert the weadeater line. I keep the line in all the time...it works great! If the light or ice dispenser do not work, the problem may be *********** board.
You have 2 problems .
1 . the water valve is not letting enough water in . Pt # WR57X10032 . This is located on the back of the refrig , where the wall water line connects to , on the refrig .
2 . The dispensor flap door , is not closing completely , to seal off the warm outside air , thereby , causing frost on the inside dispensor area , and , on the bottom of the ice dispensor bucket . The usual cause , is the door flap solenoid , pt # WR62X10055 . The plunger , which comes with the solenoid , usually rusts , causing the flap not to close completely .
Remove the top freezer door hinge cover , and disconnect the plug there . This will remove the power to the door . Inside the lower part of the dispensor cover , inside the dispensor area , between the grill and the actual dispensor bottom , use a small screwdriver in the crease , and push down and inward carefully , to release the 2 plastic clips , mounted on the bottom of the dispensor cover . 1 clip on each side at the bottom . Then lift the cover straight up ( not outward ) , to release the top plastic clips Then unplug the receptical to the dispensor cover . You should see 4 screws holding the dispensor caseing , which will need to be removed , for access to the controls .
no manulal reset or fuse, buth tere is ususlly a "child lockout" feature prevent ing the dispensor from operating. check to see if the control has been placed, on, or perhaps the door is not closing fully, another reasom for the dispensor to stop
There are a number of things that can cause both the ice and water in the door to stop working. There are two control boards that sit behind the buttons on the dispenser. Either one of them may have failed.
There are several different types of dispensor controls on this refrigerator. You need to download the Factory Repair Manual for your fridge. It will tell you how to remove the dispensor cover and diagnos each board so you know exactly which one to replace. The Repair Manual will be the best source for you at this point.
you have prime the system air out of the water lines this is easy to do
put a glass big enough to cover water dispensor outlet cause its going to project water out at you press and hold button till water starts to run smooth
these fridges will spit water at you when you prime the system at first cause theres air blockage in lines
