Question about Toshiba Satellite A205-S4617 Notebook
I have tried rebooting from the ms vista recovery iso disc. I have tried
powering up and pressing F2 to get into the BIOS. I have even tried the ms vista update disc, all with no success. The power light comes on when you power up and you can see the HD light come on momentarily and you can hear it accessing the CD for about 10 - 15 seconds. Then
the unit just sits with nothing else happening.
Please help! Any ideas?
This sounds like a hardware problem. Some devices like CD drives if not seated properly will cause the computer to hang. Also, I would disconnect all external devices (USB, Firewire, COM Ports, etc.) and then try to power off the machine followed by a cold boot. Another problem would be RAM, it might not be seated properly. Try removing it and re-seating it.
