Scott, To transfer your number from your Old Service Provider to TracFone Wireless, you must ask TracFone to Port your existing telephone number. TracFone Wireless will process the request for you. During this process, your service with your current provider will be disconnected automatically and Activated with the new provider you have selected. There is no need for you to call your current provider to disconnect your service. During the Request process, you will still be able to place calls on your existing wireless telephone or wire line phone. You, however, will not be able to receive calls during the porting process.

Are you transferring an old number to this phone? It can take up to 2 business days for that (sometimes just a few hours). If transferring a landline, it can take up to 4 business days, as tracfone will have to contact your current provider. Are you registered at www.tracfone.com? You should be if not already. Lots of information there.

From a landline phone with your Safelink Tracfone in the other hand, call Safelink customer service with your enrollment ID or with your Social Security Number. SafeLink: 1-800-378-1684 They may want you to cal Tracfone so in case that happens: Tracfone 1-800-867-7183
