Question about Sony Grand WEGA KF50WE610 50" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

Blue pixelation in bottom right hand corner

TV is around 3 years old. The blue coloured pixels appeared about 3 months ago and I can see it is gradually spreading across the bottom edge of the screen. I have not replaced the bulb because the bulb replacement warning light does not flash and in any case the picyure quality is as good as the day I bought the TV apart of course from these blue pixels that are slowly spreading.

I have the blue pixelation problem but it is more in the bottom center of the screen. Replacing the bulb DID NOT fix the problem.
Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? Thanks.

Sounds like Calibration is needed on the projection internals. Your TV uses a rear-projection system and the problem is either in the imaging LCD Unit or the light filter. I see in a previous thread you have changed the bulb. You can invest in a voltage regulator to keep the hardware in factory condition.
Also you can burn a DVD of a stuck pixel remedy video and run it on the screen with full brightness and full contrast. This is used for plasma burns and stuck pixels on conventional Flat panel TVs but can repair color issues with projection systems. This therapy is focused on the imaging unit between the projector and the main drop of your tv.

Blue Noise, left side of TV

I have the same problem -- had a Best Buy technician out 4 times so far, replaced 2 parts, adjusted the voltage, etc., but still have the same problem -- looks like there may be no solution other than replacing the TV, which is an expensive proposition considering that mine is about 18 months old.

Blue Noise/Pixels Bottom Left Corner of my Samsung Plasma

You would need to have a technician remove the back of the TV and make the adjustment. There are 2 small adjusters that they change to adjust the voltage.

This is know as a diffusion issue. Most times this can be corrected with some minor alignment on the pots on the YSUS pwb. Sometimes the YSUS pwb has failed and will need to be replaced.

Blue snowy pixel areas on my plasma

some of these panels were mis-calibrated from the factory after not aging long enough. Let the TV run for atleast 2 hours and adjust the Vs and Vscan voltages. When it is blue in the left I have found generally the Vs is about 10 volts too high.
