If you want just the bulb and not the complete lamp, try http://www.lumenarc.co.uk.

Hello,
I upgraded from a Panasonic AE700U to AX200U and have a 95% new bulb. I only used it on the 700 unit to see if it I had a bulb problem. The 700 unit has an optical block problem costing too much to fix so I bought a new AX200U. All to say I have a 95% new ax700bulb I can sell and send you for a pretty cheap price as I do not need it anymore. If you are interested call me at 613-831-3314. Leave message if I am not in. I live in Ontario. Thanks. JohnB

As long as the bulb number crossreferences with an aftermarket bulb, it will work fine. Panasonic does not manufacture the bulbs, they just stick the name on it!

open the bulb assembly and check if the bulb has fused / broken into pieces.if not then the ballast unit that powers the bulb is at fault and needs replacement
if the bulb has fused/broken , then probably the bulb that u had replaced 3 months back wasnt genuine!

PT-AE700E projector appears to have gone kaput - not lighting up.

Because of high voltages and heat, there are many safety circuits inside these units. If you have a spare lamp, try replacing the lamp. Initial checks are made before the lamp is fired and sometimes a defective lamp can cause this. Also, can you descruibe what you mean by "noisier than usual"? Is the fan making more noise? Something elase making a noise?

Thanks,
Dan

may be a heat problem: check the psu unit for components getting too hot...use a laser thermometer and keep you fingers away from the psu ! other possible problem may be a bad capacitor or the thermal protection before the psu..but this would be a very uncommon problem.

Mainboard Replacement for PT AE700U

Hi CFP123

You will have to phone Panasonic for the part - do have the part number on the board handy when phoning in.

As for the pricing it depends on which country you are in , but it's normally between $100 - $150

PT-AE700U No Power

Hi ErnieN008

If there is no LED's flashing or even lighting up for that matter , then it could just be the fuse on the Poersupplyboard that has gone.

You can replace this fuse by opening up the top cover and looking for the board with the AC inlet on it.

If the problem however still exists , you will have to replace the powersupply.
