Cda-9857 Has No Power
Problem for Alpine CDA-9857 CD Player
Alpine cda-9857r turns display off but is stiil on.

I have just bought a car with a alpine cda-9857r radio in it. The stereo works fine but the display keeps shutting off after about 2 seconds of pushing a button or adjusting the volume. It looks as if the radio has been turned off but its still switched on with the sound coming out fine.When you touch a button the display lights up again, but then goes out as before.
Does anyone know how I can set the radio display to stay on whilst the radio is on but not being adjusted?

mines did the same thing i called the factory and told them wat was hapening and i was cover by the one year waranty i dont tink thats thers anoter whay of trying to fix it but hey try checking ur fuse and make sure it the rigth amount of wats or try a fuse whit a lil more wats
