Paslode angle finish nailer the fan wont run nor will it shoot

i have the same problem, i shot about 200 nails through my 16 ga angled finish nailer (900600) and the led all of a sudden started blinking red and green. When i insert a new battery it blinks green at first then once i pull the trigger or press the gun into the wall it immediately starts blinking red and green again. I took the gun apart as the service person told me to do and checked the wires which appeared to be fine. I noticed that the fan would pulse and then turn off. Service is sending me two new black and red wires but i'm thinking that it's not going to help. THanks

Have had the same problem! started with a noisy fan then a non responsive one. try taking out the fan assembly as per service and drop a couple of paslode lube drops along fan shaft and gently compress fan to lubricate bearing, may not be a lond term fix but hasnt stopped since and that was over 2000 2inch ago. good luck.

Could be a couple things. After inserting a hot battery does the light flash green? If yes depress the trigger, does the fan come on? It could be a head switch if so equipped or the circuit or a broken lead at the battery. Give me the exact model of the tool and I will look at a breakdown and come up with something.

Hi the noisy fan will be caused by a bent blade, this causes the fan to run out of balance, putting oil on it or just living with it will cause the motor to burn out. A new motor is about £65, what you need to do is find a paslode dealer and replace the blades on the fan, the blades cost about £6 so its worth while doing this before you damage the motor.
The blades get knocked when changing the o rings or servicing the kit without removing the fan correctly.
To see if the fan is bent hold it up to the wall and gently spin the fan and you will see 1 of the blades not making the same position as the other, if the shaft is bent then it will need looking at by a dealer.
When removing the fan heat it up with a burner first then unscrew the locking pin on the side - makes it alot easier and wont cause damage to the shaft.
Hope this help, Jon G Wales

Paslode finish nailer fan has problems starting and the light goes from green to red then it wont do anything?

It will probably be the head switch assembly. Top Gun still sell the parts or you could try ebay which would be the cheaper option.
