So today I play playing halo and in the middle of the game my xbox froze and two flash red lights came on. After this I reset my xbox and play some more. I think about one or two games later it did it again.
Yesterday I took my old xbox about and repaired the 3 red rings with the pennys; it works great. once reading some post off of other forums from google I decided to take this new xbox apart and do the penny trink as well. now that I have the xbox back together it is still flashing the two red lights. what should I do? I have already killed the warranty by opening it up. I need someone to truly knows the ins and out of the 360.

Three lights flash red on the Ring of Light (RoL) on the front of your Xbox 360 console. The upper-right quadrant light is the only light that does not flash red. The three flashing red lights may indicate that there is a hardware problem with your Xbox 360 console.
You can try one or two things.
1. Turn on your xbox and check to see if the power supply light is green. If it is green there is a problem with the system. If it is red it means you should check your connections and restart the xbox.
2. These rings have a tendency of meaning that there is a problem with the system itself. Most companies sell extra insurance to cover this "ROL" Ring of life. You can contact Microsoft by calling them. The number is usually listed on the back of the video game booklets.
I wish you the best and I hope this resolved your problem
This problem may occur when the Xbox console is too hot or is overheating. The flashing lights mean that the internal temperature of your Xbox 360 console has exceeded acceptable temperature limits. Let your Xbox 360 console cool. You may have to wait several hours for your Xbox 360 console to cool enough. Don't turn on your Xbox 360 console when the console is hot.Verify that your Xbox 360 console has enough ventilation and that the fans are operating. If the two lights continue to flash red after you try steps 1 and 2, contact Xbox Customer Support.
Microsoft can be contacted by finding the number listed on the back of your video game booklets.
When you turn on the console, look at the light on the power supply. The power supply light should illuminate green even if the three lights on the Ring of Light flash red. If the power supply is button is red than you need to replace the battery or check the connections.
The three flashing red lights may indicate that there is a hardware problem with your Xbox 360 console. If you are experiencing this problem, you can submit a console-repair request online.
no red lights, no previous error msgs, and video output on the box has just died. playing halo yesterday and mid-game the colours went askew (like a green overlay) with horizontal banding, backing out to the dash solved nothing so after a reboot there was simply no video. troubleshooted the tv and cables and its definately the box. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=625804 Over heating wont turn on http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=599216 http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=606431 http://copronymous.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/fix-for-the-3rlod.pdf
