The memory card suggested for Samsung GT-S6700 is of course Micro SD card. So it must accept all those Micro SD cards. If your phone is not reading any of such cards, the card might be locked. Unlock the card by sliding the key present on the side of the card.

Try removing the memory card and plug it into a PC to format it.
For desktops you'll usually need to buy a card reader, but most laptops have these built in. Keep in mind that you may still need an adapter to plug it into the card reader itself (usually, micro and mini SD cards need an adapter which converts them into a full-sized SD card).
Once you have plugged the card in to your computer, open "My Computer" and right click the drive.
Select "Format" and leave the options default, click OK.
The micro sd has no lock tab to slide on the side, but the SD card adapter does. Unlock the SD card adapter, and format the micro sd card using a laptop or PC. The only way your micro sd card could be password protected is using encryption. If this is the case, formatting the card should remove the password.
I did the same thing, but when mine said no music, I formatted the card from my cell phone. It added 4 folders, My Music being one of them. Then I put my mp3 files in that folder and the cell found them.
I don't know what LG does, but my poor man's file transfer for my motorola was to format the micro SD card so it created my music folder, then I dragged mp3 files to that folder and inserted the memory into my cell.
I see that the Vantage has provisions for a micro SD, so I guess you can do the same. I grabbed a 512 MB with adapter for $8 at the local general store.
