To recharge the battery you have to have a USB 2.0 cable that will plug into the tiny USB port on the insignia (right near the headphone jack) and the other end into your computer.

To tune a radio station, you need to be wearing normal (not bluetooth) headphones as the headphone cord itself acts as an antenna.

Connecting mp3 car radio

If you radio has an Aux input then you can connect a audio cable from your MP3 player to the Aux input on your radio.
If your radio does not have an Aux input the you can use a FM transmitter device. Connect the MP3 player to the FM transmitter and tune your FM radio to the radio frequency on this FM adapter to listen to your audio book on your MP3 player.
Check out these WEB sites fro FM transmitters.

Battery on my Ipod classic completely died and now wont work

The first thing to try is an ipod reset. Here are the instructions from apple on how to do this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1320

If the battery is truly dead, they are pretty easy to replace. Same with the hard drive. Batteries go for about $8 including shipping on ebay, and in most cases come with instructions on replacing. One word of caution, when you pry the 2 halves of your ipod apart, there is a small ribbon cable on the top side. Try not to damage that :D

It won't turn on

If you can turn your Player while being plugged into your computer then the issue is your rechargeable battery (otherwise it may be electonically dead).
All MP3 player with inbuilt rechargeable battery do eventually need to have the battery replaced, at a often un-economical cost, after some 18 months or 500 charge cycles.

My ipod won't charge. keeps saying "please wait. very low battery" what's wrong with it?

I had the same problem. Went to the Apple store and the technician said that the IPOD battery ran down to low (battery level showed red) and the USB port on the computer was not strong enough to recharge it. He used a rechargeable adapter that pluged directly into the wall (adapter cost about $30) and recharged it enough for me to take it home and recharge it on my computer. He said to never let the battery level drop below 5% unless you are going to recharge it using the adapter that pluged into the wall. I bought an IPOD rechargeable travel kit from Target for $20 and used it to recharge my IPOD. My IPOD works fine now. The Technician also said at some point the battery will need to be replaced (in a year or two depends). Will cost about $59 to replace it (don't quote me on the timeframe or price of replacement, this may have been just for my IPOD but thought this would be useful info for someone.

You can easily buy a standalone charger with a USB adapter from eBay to solve the problem. Just make sure that it is compatible withthe SanDisk MP3.

Rio Carbon jams?

You probably need the firmware 3.04 (directors cut)

There are many people who have had audio book problems but this firmware seems to sort them.

Sorry but I can't find a link for the firmware 3.04

I found one yesterday! but today I can't find one!

I'll post if I find a working link
